Alain Mailhot, sculptor and toymaker, uses a hundred species of wood from 5 continents in his animal-shaped creations: pencil and paint brush holders. The artist uses oil and wax as protective coatings allowing enjoyment of the wood’s tactile and visual textures and natural colours.
